The Garden Route

Next stop was wilderness where we stayed in guest house  called Serendipity. Absolutely beautiful location and a real treat. Right on the river where we did a bit of Kayaking in the early evening. So peaceful. Did a great walk up towards a waterfall and had to cross a river on a raft and pulled ourselves over with ropes. And another along a fantastic beach where the rollers were coming in. Met a guy fishing for sharks! Serendipity was also a fine dining restaurant and it was a real treat with fabulous food and wine. Getting a habit this fine dining, but someone has to do it!

Manged two games of golf in this area as well. Goose Valley and Simola. Views at Simola were incredible. A couple of good days out.

We then moved down to Lairds Lodge near Plenberg Bay. Another real treat. We were in a room with an outlook onto a sign that read, Do not feed the monkeys. Dinner at night was a communal big table …with other Scottish people. Also met an English farmer and his wife. A really good couple, but not as much fun as the Scots.

wlaked out to Roberg Point from here a cliff top walk going out a scramble along rocks and beach walk back. Rest of the time was by a fabulous pool with a glass or two!

Visited Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Both really nice places to visit. Then off to George airport to fly to Durban.
